Nottingham Winter Games 2018

The Nottingham Winter Games (NWG) 2018 is recorded as one of the many great accomplishments by the SingSoc Committee 2018/19. After months of preparation and pulling all nighters, the committee managed to carry out a Sporting event that reached out to our fellow Singapore Societies from several different schools across the UK.
With the enthusiastic participation of teams from Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Sheffield, Sussex, Newcastle, Imperial, SOAS University of London and many more, NWG was a great success. Teams were sent in to play games such as Badminton, Football, Frisbee, Captain's ball, Basketball and Amazing Race. Everyone's fighting spirit were clearly shown through their determination to win for they team.
The eventful day ended with Birmingham emerging as overall champion and everyone walking home with a goodie bag filled with snacks from home. *cough* Indomee, Yeo's drinks *cough*
However, not only did participants and supporters leave with a bag full of snacks, they also left with hearts fully satisfied with the new friends made, reunion with old friends, as well as games played.

All in all, a huge thank you to the schools who showed support for the event by sending in teams and travelling down to Notts. ALSO, not forgetting the Notts Singsoc committee and volunteers who helped make sure that the event was an overall success. :)))
