Leavers' Dinner 2018

Perhaps it was the irresistible enticement of free food, or maybe it was simply because it was the perfect reason for our leavers to take some time off their hectic schedules for each other. On a windy Wednesday night on 25th April 2018, Nottingham Singapore Society is proud to have held our Leavers’ Appreciation Dinner for our leavers. The venue for Leavers’ Dinner 2018 was Bill’s, a contemporary European restaurant situated in the very heart of Nottingham city centre. Bill’s had generously reserved the entire upper terrace for the Society, providing us with the much needed space for our (rowdy) selves!

Upon arrival, the leavers were greeted with hand drawn name cards (shout out to Rachel!) to facilitate the food servicing process, as well as to keep as souvenirs. Beyond the sumptuous 3-course meal, Bill’s boast of a beautiful interior and cosy ambience that really set the mood for the night. It was an absolute delight to dine on the slightly dimmed terrace and listen to the leavers reminisce their time spent together in Nottingham as well as talk about their future plans.

We ended the night with a closing address from the organizers, Hans and Rachel, and with a group photo. In a night filled with joy and laughter, we thank the leavers for offering us their precious time and for making this dinner a success. We take this chance to wish all our members the very best for their upcoming exams and future endeavour. PS: It was probably the irresistible enticement of free food. 😊
