Freshers Orientation Camp 2019

We just wrapped up our annual freshers camp for 2019 last Friday, 16 August! Everything went without a hitch, and everyone had a crazy amount of fun.

This year, the theme of the games is INFINOTTY WAR. Everyone was divided into two teams, Captain America (blue) and Iron Man (red), who then battled against each other in a series of thrilling games. First of all, though, the two teams made their team symbol to be carried around during the games, before heading out into the wild.

The 2nd day was the highlight of the camp, where the two teams compete against each other to get the different STONES, to be used throughout the competition to the detrimental of the other team. To get the power stone, the teams need to melt an ice block, with the stone encased in the middle, while there are some challenges handed around to different participants. The difficulty kept on increasing for the following games, but so is the fun! Obtaining the space stone requires participants to transfer sea water from a bucket to another one using a sponge, along a series of people. The twist is, you're only allowed to use specific body parts to hand out the sponge! I can guarantee that no one was dry by the end of this game :)

Obviously, the gauntlet wouldn't be complete without the reality stone, where the freshers battle it out against each other and ultimately, the committee. It was an iconic Captain's Ball, with a twist — the ball was a water balloon. Everyone ended up throwing it to each other, and just splashing the committee!

Aside from the fun from the games, though, the friendships formed along the camp incomparable. It was exciting, in its own ways, to watch strangers slowly get to know each other over the camp and have fun together!
